In Bad Faith: Child Sex Abuse and the Catholic Church

This summer I interviewed people who had been sexually abused as young men by a Catholic priest who was still active in New York City. While the Catholic church has taken some steps to address the ongoing sex abuse scandal, there is still more work and a lot more healing to be done if the church is to regain the faith and trust of its parishioners. Produced by Paul Abowd, shot by Erik Ljung and Stephen Bailey, edited by Warwick M. Executive producer: Laila Al-Arian. I'm very proud to have worked on this Fault Lines documentary and thankful to the survivors who trusted us with their stories.

In a series of exclusive interviews with Fault Lines, several men across New York City come forward with painful memories of abuse by a Catholic priest. They say that Father John Paddack - who was ordained in 1984 and had been ministering in New York until he was suspended in July - molested them during confession and counselling sessions in different Catholic schools across the city.
